Cat on a Mat

This is an attempt at making a picture of a cat look like it's made out of tissue paper. Not sure about it's expression, but I quite like the fish. Clicking on him will take you to my Cats Gallery.

Orange Balloon

I think these robots look vaguely Japanese. Not sure why! I'm not sure why they're looking at the balloon either. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Viking Mice at Sea

Here are the Viking Mice in glorious colour. I really can't remember what I had planned in this picture. Probably being swallowed by a giant whale, or something similar, and taken to strange and new lands.

Viking Mice at the Opera

This is a sketch of the Viking Mice at the Opera.

This is a story that I've never quite managed to get to work even though a lot of effort (and not just mine) has gone into it. Hopefully one day it will become a book. Stranger things have happened; Snow Bear was originally a cover picture for my CD portfolio.

Here's another new picture on the gallery pages. This one was drawn to illustrate the nursery rhyme Hush-a-bye Baby. for a children's magazine. I can't remember why the publisher wanted it to be set in North America but I think that it was a good idea. It's certainly different.

Aztec Myth

I thought this would make a change of style. It's a picture I drew ages ago of an Aztec myth about Quetzalcoatl - he's the god in green feathers. I think the other god is called Huitzilopochtli. I posted it to mark some new mythological pictures on the Pandamonium eBooks website.

Aesop's Fable: The Cunning Cat

Back to cats again. This one's a picture of the Aesop's Fable: The Cunning Cat. I've only found it in one book though and I have several versions. It's the fable where a cat invites lots of small animals around for her birthday and then tells them that they're her presents - if you see what I mean.

Woodlice Wearing Glasses

Woodlice today - mainly because I think they're brilliant and I rarely get to draw them.

Obviously still got cats a bit on the brain. This is a picture I drew ages ago of Lear's The Owl and the Pussy Cat for a collection of children's rhymes.

Flinders (my cat) Fast Asleep

Couldn't resist posting this photo. It's my cat, Flinders, asleep on the back of her chair - the one with the radiator behind. She was like this all yesterday evening. Think she must have settled in.

Ancient Egyptian Temple

Just realised that I haven't posted a picture of anything Ancient Egyptian for ages - which is odd as I love anything Ancient Egyptian. This one's a reconstructed cutaway model of the Temple of Khonsu - part of the Karnak complex at Thebes. If you click on the picture it will take you take to the History Gallery.
